Barton Court has been a very happy home for my family and I for over forty years. It is a particularly tranquil spot where I feel most relaxed and contented so I am delighted to be able to welcome people to our small stretch of the River Kennet and share our idyllic spot.

The fishing in our water meadow is among the best in Berkshire and we are working hard to make it the finest. We have employed a knowledgeable and passionate full time River Keeper who has set about rejuvenating some three miles of river banks and clearing the gravel beds of pools and streams.  We have a wonderful variety of water including brown trout, rainbow trout, the unique Kennet Greenback, small shoals of grayling, perch and pike.

We have an abundance of wildlife to enjoy and if you're lucky you may see the blue flash of a darting kingfisher. Over time we will be planting wildflowers in the water meadow to encourage butterflies, moths and dragonflies and encourage an even greater abundance of wildlife.

So do come and find us, nestled  close to the village of Kintbury and enjoy peace, tranquillity and first rate fishing on the Barton Court Estate.
